Dreaming cells featured in The Scientist

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

Cells are often imagined as mechanical units of life - precise, efficient, and microscopic. In Dreaming Cells, Dr. Radhika Patnala invites us to imagine them differently: as living landscapes of movement, play, and nature. Drawing from her background in neuroscience and scientific illustration, Patnala merges scientific knowledge with artistic intuition to explore the hidden poetry of cellular life. Dreaming Cells ultimately asks us to look inward with new eyes. Beneath our awareness, trillions of cells carry out the quiet choreography of life—repairing, communicating, remembering. In Patnala’s hands, these invisible actors become dreamlike protagonists, revealing that science and art are not separate languages, but different ways of seeing the same wonder.

The exhibit consists of 23 artworks of varying sizes.
